Heli-Beds began in a small unit in Swindon, Wiltshire. The family business gradually expanded across the South and West of England and, at its largest, managed 52 stores. The team regularly meets established suppliers, visits factories and attends international furniture shows. These trips are an opportunity to improve existing designs, assess materials and construction, and find new products that meet Heli-Beds' standards for quality, style and price.
The March 2026 Far East buying trip continued that work, with factory visits and new designs selected for the spring range. A 2025 trip included furniture shows and supplier visits in Vietnam and Thailand.
Specialist and made-to-measure work
Heli-Beds' experience also supports unusual and commercial requirements. In November 2025, the business was selected to supply beds for Aston Villa Football Club's new player rehabilitation centre. The project involved developing beds and mattresses around specific dimensions, spring types and fabric choices.
